I’m still getting used to the new format. I couple of times now, I’ve gone to go to the old sign in screen to work on some internal things. Imagine my faux pas when I’ve realized, “It’s the new format dummy!” Yep, I’ve called myself ‘dummy’. I cannot believe we’re into September already. My how the year has flown. It seems like only yesterday word came Stephen was going to be taking over the part of Tucker. I cannot believe SNO has been online this long. Some good scenes today with Stephen. I’m wondering what he’s up to in that scene where Tucker is witnessing Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Vance Abrams (Eric Roberts) and Victor (Eric Braeden) in their huddle. Take a look and you’ll understand what I’m talking about. Suspicious much. But then that’s why we love our guy. By the way, I’m going to be doing away with the little ‘goto’ icon I’ve been using lo these many months. To get to the relevant links, click on the thing that looks like this: [ 000 ]. Well, as if you haven’t already been able to tell, there’s a new layout up on all three aspects of RENEGADE ~ STEPHEN NICHOLS ONLINE. I hope you like it, it’ll be here a while. It’s been about two and a half weeks in the making while I sorted through all the minutae of the new coding, but hey, it’s up! That’s the important thing…Right? About the posts below this one on and the subsequent pages. I wanted to be able to keep all the posts from the other layout and CMS system, so I did an import of all the posts available. One problem though, it strips all coding and formatting from the previous posts. So starting with this one, I’ll be keeping in line with what I’ve done with the other content and be keeping the formatting from now on. As for everything else….Well! BTW, please understand as I begin adding content to the site’s various pages. Take care and be safe.
My apologies for this post being late. I had an emergency later this afternoon and didn’t get home till late. I scrambled to record and get today’s media and screencaps up. Again, my apolgies. Lots of good interaction and business-y like stuff going on with Tucker and Ashley (Eileen Davidon) and Jack (Peter Bergman). I’m loving the adult-driven storylines being shown of late. That coupled with the fact that Stephen is finally being allowed more aritime is making this Stephen Nichols/Tucker McCall fan very happy. Keep going Y&R and writers. This truly is what soap operas are for. Yes, the romance, but the character-driven storylines as well. Unlike another soap opera that will remain nameless, one of which Stephen was a part of….. I’m getting closer to putting up the new layout. I will also be putting up a new content management system that isn’t so buggy and certainly more secure spam-wise. When I do get it done, I’ll be putting the site into a maintenence mode until I get all the new stuff up. It won’t take long. Likely about a half an hour at most. I’m also going to have to transfer the post archive from here to the new one. I will let you know ahaed of time when that’s about to happen. The main site will be unavailable, but RENEGADE MEDIA will remain open.
Only a preview today and a note to let you know, I’m working on a new layout for the site. So far I have the banners and the colours chosen, I only have to code the layout…that is the hard part. I was working on it all day today whilst waiting for the repair man to come and patch up a hole in my bathroom ceiling from a flood a couple of weeks back. I’m all coded out.
This is the “Body Heat” edition of STEPHEN NICHOLS ONLINE. WOW!!! Is all I can say about today’s episode. My byline says it all. Reminiscent of William Hurt and Kathleen Turner in the classic Lawrence Kasdan film. Stephen really punched it today with his heart-on-his-sleeve earnestness of wanting Ashley (Eileen Davidson) to trust him. Ouch, when she sent him away with the boo-boo on his heart. But the cat came back more determined than ever. Congratulations to both Stephen and Eileen for making the already scorching summer heat, downright solar flare-ish. So sorry these are late tonight. I had one heck of a time in getting the program I use to record from the TV to work. I had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it to work. The problem was, the software comes with upgrades, and when I tried to load up the upgrade, it failed…twice. Third time was the charm. Then after I finally updated the software, I forgot to change the record mode to the appropriate setting. Duh! Also, I usually record the 4:30 PM version on the Global HD channel from Toronto. Problem there was, the episode cut off before the end of the recording on the box. With the problems I had with the upgrade, I had to record it later. With the ending cut off, I had to record the 6:30 PM edition off of the Global Calgary feed. So the clip is a mix of both.

Everything all fixed now. Notice the quickness of the post today? I’m happy. Apparently, someone did some tooling around on my server. Naughty you whoever you are…and you know who you are. Good ruthless Tucker scenes today. Still not sold on Sophia (Julia Pace Mitchell) as being savvy enough to be Tucker’s #2, buy hey, I’ve been told the future is in the youth. I would have preferred someone like Tamara Braun (Carly, GH; Ava, DOOL; Reese, AMC), Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe Jones, GH), or even Stephen’s ‘Sweetness’ Mary Beth Evans (Kayla, DOOL; Katherine, GH, Sierra, ATWT), but who am I to second guess the casting at Y&R. Due to the return of actress Vanessa Marcil to GENERAL HOSPITAL for some reason ABC dedicated three whole hours to episodes featuring her character Brenda Barrett. Personally, I could never stand the character. A couple of adjectives I’d use to describe her would be V-apid and V-acuous. The character had few interesting traits, as did the actress, however, on the up side…. This did allow for the reairing of an episode from 1997 that featured Stephen as his character of The Dark Prince, Stefan Cassadine. Though there wasn’t a lot of him in it, it still provided the reason the loss of this great character and actor was a folly on behalf of the powers that be at both GH, and at ABC. Luckily, I was able to clip it up and cap it. So for those who enjoyed Stephen as this multilayered character, I bring you the episode from 09/24/1997. The setting, Katherine (Mary Beth Evans) is confronted by Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about her relationship with Stefan. At this point, Stefan had just found out that Katherine may be his long lost sister, Natasha. This ruse was set into motion by Alexis who was jealous of Katherine’s place in Stefan’s life.
